In a continued effort to establish and streamline Chapter foundations, we've made some changes to the Chapter membership.
A lot of administrative work is involved when it comes to membership management. In an effort to streamline this process, to minimize the administration work, and to enable the Membership Director to put forth his/her volunteer effort elsewhere, such as retention, growth, onboarding, and recognizing members, we're transitioning to a once each year membership renewal process for all members (effective September 01, 2021).
Why are we doing this? This new process will save a lot of time and effort in administrative work to manage membership renewals and new memberships.
How will rates be affected? The yearly rate of $125 each year will remain the same. The Board will continue to evaluate member benefits yearly as we did in 2020 by adding a professional headshot for members. However, when a new member joins or if a current member lapses in their renewal, the membership rate paid will be automatically prorated during checkout according to the membership type the member selected.
Are we doing this for all membership types? Yes.
What if my membership expires before September 2021? You can renew your membership from the Membership page, and the page will display the prorated amount to pay that is good until August 31, 2021.
What if I am due or overdue to renew now? The Membership Director will email those members whose membership has lapsed with instructions to renew with the prorated amount owed until everyone renews in September 2021.
Why can’t I see how much the prorated costs are? If you want to check out the cost to see what the Membership proration rates look like, log out of the website, and then scroll to the bottom of the Membership page.
The website has been tested to renew and accept payment. If you experience any errors, email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
Great news and a new benefit just for members! The Chapter's most recent sponsor EBSCO is providing you free access to their Accel 5 content library. This is a scheduled event at Studio Boise Photography Center.

Events are currently being scheduled. We have received more than 20 requests to present. Check out our Event Calendar.
We’re making a concerted effort to connect with the Northwest TD Chapters so that we can connect with you other TD professionals!
As you requested, we’ve identified and implemented a qualifying process to ensure our Connect & Learn presenters are delivering and engaging our Members and audience.
We’re part of the National store! Well, not us literally, but the Chapter is now available on the ATD National store. Wahoo!
Wait. What does that mean? It means that new and current members can purchase a joint membership and get $30 off National Membership and $10 off Chapter membership if the joint membership is purchased at the same time you use our Chapter CHiP code 8118.
For those who are already members or have an account with National, be on the lookout for a few emails from National about the partnership.
Yep, we started a blog. This blog will provide Chapter and Member updates.
You can use the blog to learn about Chapter and Member updates and to post questions and comments. The blog will be monitored by all Board leaders to provide a quick response to any comments and questions posted.
You’ll see the blog continue to change throughout 2021 until we find a format that works.
Engagement results are in! Review them here.

Hello, ATD Treasure Valley Members.
What a year, what a year! The board is looking forward to a refreshed and revived 2021 with you!
This is our last ask of you for 2020. We'd like to end the year with our chapter's annual member engagement survey. Your voice matters; we need to hear from you!
The Member Engagement Survey takes 3-5 minutes to complete.
All members who complete the survey are entered into a drawing to win a free ATD National Membership for 2021. Winners will be notified via e-mail by December 20, 2020.
Cheers to you, your family and friends, and a new 2021!
